2017 Session: Week 19

Uncategorized

The 2017 Legislative Session is winding down, which means there are very few public hearings between now and the beginning of the 2018 Session. However New Hampshire Libertas continues to advocate for maximum freedom at the statehouse and Legislative Office Building (LOB) advocating for pro-freedom legislation and against anti-freedom legislation.

On Tuesday May 23, New Hampshire Libertas President Darryl W. Perry attended the House Election Law Committee Executive Sessions. We are reaching out to legislators in an effort to defeat some of the anti-freedom legislation that has received a positive committee recommendation, and hoping to prevent some less than favorable amendments from being adopted.

All legislation must be acted upon by June 1, which means we should be able to give a 2017 Session-in-Review by mid-June. This review will include a tally of wins & losses, as well as a list of some of our more important successes. We are also working on adding some automation features to the website which should mean the Legislation Tracker will no longer need to be manually updated.
